Get Prepared! Our Easy Guide to Preparing Your Vehicle for Transportation

Ready to get your vehicle transported from A to B? To ensure ultimate peace of mind, follow this easy 7-step-guide for preparing your vehicle to be transported. By following just a few of these simple steps, you can make your transport process even smoother!

1. Get familiar with your vehicle's pick-up location.

To ensure the collection of your vehicle is efficient, please review the pick-up locations and confirm with our team where and when you will be leaving your vehicle to be collected. You can find our list of pick-up locations on our website, or you can get contact us with us to discuss the best location for you.

Arriving on time to your pick-up location will help us stay on schedule and get your vehicle to its final destination as soon as possible!

2. Remove your personal belongings from your vehicle.

We recommend that you remove all our personal belongings from your vehicle before it is transported. You will not be able to access your vehicle once it is securely loaded onto our truck until it reaches its final destination. So, to save disappointment, grab your belongings before your vehicle is collected.

Preparing your vehicle for transportation by a freight truck service requires some careful planning and attention to detail. Follow this 6-step guide to ensure a smooth and hassle-free process:

3. Inspect your vehicle before loading.

Before your vehicle is loaded onto our trucks, please conduct a detailed inspection to document any existing damage, such as scratches or dents. Taking clear photos of your vehicle from different angles will be helpful for insurance purposes. We require evidence of the condition of your car immediately before pick up in order to access our customer guarantee, in the unlikely case that it is necessary.

4. Secure all loose parts.

Ensure all loose parts and accessories are properly secured or removed. Items like antennas, spoilers, or roof racks should be safely detached and stored inside the vehicle or elsewhere to prevent damage.

5. Check the tire pressure of your vehicle.

Properly inflate your vehicle's tires to the recommended pressure. This helps ensure stability during transport and minimizes the risk of any tire-related issues.

6. Disable any car alarms.

If your vehicle has an alarm system, disable it to avoid unnecessary disruptions during transportation. This step prevents the alarm from going off while on the freight truck. Directions on how to do this can be found in your vehicle's manual.

7. Collate any necessary documents.

Finally, we recommend that you have any relevant documents to your vehicle on-hand in the unlikely case of an incident. This includes proof of ownership, vehicle registration, and any relevant insurance information.

By following these seven easy steps, you'll ensure your vehicle is well-prepared for transportation. M&N Carriers always guarantee the safe, secure and reliable transportation of your vehicle. Taking these extra steps will even further reduce the chances of any mishaps or issues during transit.
